2022 Midyear Anonymous Peer Review

Frances Robinson (Frankie) has acted boldly in her role on our team to ensure my personal growth and incorporating me into existing projects, as I am a newer member of our design team. She has been instrumental in my professional growth, sharing innovative ways to streamline processes and impact learner retention while designing content for learners. I am inspired by her character and effectiveness. I feel blessed to learn from and work with someone who has such a grasp on true leadership skills in, not only guiding our projects together, but also teaching how and why she utilizes her organizational schematics. She has demonstrated an admirable capacity to be equally effective as a leader and a teammate in our project work. I chose to recognize Frankie for Excellence, as I feel it imbodies collectively, what I have observed of her on our team. I am grateful to have a teammate who is extraordinarily educated and gifted at her craft, while also being able to effectively communicate, organize complicated schematics, and lead through others. In my professional career thus far, I can say it is rare to find a person with Frankie’s skillsets and ability to connect with others of varying personalities and approaches. She is an example to follow, a person to learn from, and functions with integrity first. Frankie, thank you for being you!

Frankie collaborates well with the clients, she also takes the initiative to mentor new team members. Frankie is a valuable team member.

Frankie is one of the top performers in both leading design teams, and content creation, the only improvement that I could recommend would be to be more assertive with their ideas and solutions with the hope that the larger organization will follow suite and improve because of it.
It was an absolute pleasure working with Frankie. Her commitment to meet or exceed the clients expectations is second to none.
Frankie is a fantastic creative partner. Her knowledge and expertise on training benefits all her partners. Continue getting comfortable sharing insights and wisdom on collaborative endeavors to help us Win as One.

Redesigning a Leadership Training Website

I lead a team of 5 designers through the redesign of a Leadership Training website to be learner/leader and instructor facing.

The newly created features included a new leadership library, password-protected instructor curricula pages, and dynamic pages where leaders select their specific job title to display specific-to-them learning plans.

Frankie: It was a pleasure working with you on the CCL site and creating the Leadership Library. Not only did you proactively seek out feedback from key players and SMEs, but you also executed on the feedback. There were numerous times when you demonstrated flexibility and the willingness to pivot quickly when changes or differences of opinions and recommendations occurred. Additionally, you were very organized and tracked all recommended changes along the way and were well prepared to share status and progress updates for all items during our project team calls. This project was a huge undertaking and time investment on your part and for the project team, and I appreciate the talent, skill, knowledge and expertise that you brought to this project and am truly proud of the finished product that will be a great resource tool for our clients.

I admire how organized you are and the knack you have for project management. I really liked how you found a solution that worked for you to keep track of the tasks required to complete the project. I am still working on how to figure out how to use it myself or something similar to keep track of my maintenance projects and other projects in the future. I also appreciated how you were able to take my feedback to improve on the site and the Leadership Library. You took my suggestion and ran with it more than I anticipated and it resulted it a very nice design.

Frankie is a wonderful team leader. She knows how to organize a project into tasks so that you don’t sweat the small stuff. Her organization skills and use of Azure and MS Teams to make tasks help to drive the success of the project, keep me on task, and help to show the progress of the project. I like that all the projects I have worked on with Frankie were always evolving. Especially the leadership library never stayed static, and the design kept on progressing to make it more interesting and user-friendly. Frankie does a lot well. She is an excellent leader and an excellent organizer.

Frankie took over this project following the Lead Designers’ retirement and I joined the project soon thereafter. Frankie brought a fresh, new perspective as project lead through the introduction of the Task board functionality in MS teams. With multiple spreadsheets and input from the client, SMEs, and other feedback, Frankie organized the tasks at hand which enabled everyone to know in real-time what was going on with their tasks and the project overall. Despite having responsibility for multiple projects, many with tight deadlines, Frankie was always present, knew what was going on with the project at all times, and was able to clearly define what needed to be done to achieve the overall goals. She was never too busy to answer questions, address concerns, or jump on a call to discuss design options or demonstrate “how-tos.”

Designing a Certification Course

Alongside three other designers, we designed and developed this Certification course in Articulate Rise and WordPress/Lighthouse.

Frankie has been the driving force behind the Virtual Coach Certification project from both a creative and task management perspective. Her design work and technical innovations have been exemplary and contributed to a self-paced and VLL course that have wowed the client, but perhaps even more impressively, she has consistently rallied and guided the designers to identify, map out, and meet milestones. Frankie assumed this leadership role on her own initiative, despite being relatively new to the design role herself. Her efforts assured a successful outcome to this important and highly visible project.

Frankie did an awesome job jumping right in and collaborating with the VCC design team. She quickly assisted with creating MS Teams, building another spreadsheet for the team to keep up with tasks, etc. She supported me by collaborating with both B.M. & R.R. often to ensure the Self-Study & VLL appeared to be written seamlessly by 1 designer.

On October 26th, the T3 for the VCC Project took place. The participants on this call were the two delivery instructors, Frankie’s AD, the Curriculum Manager, the Performance Consultant, the Curriculum/Delivery Ad, and the design team. Her presentation was smooth and informative and she answered the instructor’s questions without missing a beat. I could tell she was well prepared which enabled her to move through her content seamlessly. Congratulations on a job well done, Frankie!

Active Member of the Valent Culture Committee within AT&T University

I was an active participant of Devina Valent’s Culture Committee where we hosted about four events per year to raise awareness of different cultures, ranging from veterans to AAPI to accessibility within our content.

You are quick to provide input and offer several options. I appreciate how you see different perspectives when discussing our culture topics and look for ways to be authentic and innovative in how we can educate our team on these topics.

You did an exceptional job at taking the initiative to support the team in whatever area you were needed; including creating an MS teams space, volunteering to assist in identifying panelists and even becoming a panelist to ensure a valuable conversation for all in attendance.

Hosted and taught a 4-week summer school learning session all about Articulate Storyline in 2021.

You enjoyed teaching and showing us the ways of Storyline. I can see your passion working with others as we all engaged to learn from you as you made it inspiring to learn. You coordinated the training and utilized every minute of our sessions productively. Love it!!

You did a great job teaching Storyline. I learned a lot from you and the others who participated in the sessions. You also did a great job encouraging people.

Thank you for offering the Storyline Summer School! Listening to a class recording, I heard a great nugget about how you decided to design a particular interaction based on the content you were given. It sounded like my brain… but you articulated it so well. I challenge the designers on my team to do the same kind of thought experiment. Some folks just “get it” and others really need to practice that skill… I am going to share this sound bite with my whole team!

Frankie welcomes client feedback and immediately acts to make changes to course content. Her client questions are on target and she’s not afraid to make recommendations based on her design expertise and client needs. It’s a joy to work with and learn from Frankie!

They are absolutely brilliant with design and understanding client needs. If there is any place to improve at all, it would be the awareness of how well she is doing.

Designing the Customer Advocacy Transformation Journey Learning Plans

Frances is proactive, acts with a sense of urgency, is detailed oriented, and willing to do anything she can to fulfill her clients needs. She is innovative and a fast learning. I watched as she learned my teams processes which are rather complex. She absorbed the information and was able to translate that with ease into text that actually worked for us.

Principal Project Program Manager

Frankie, I can think of several things I experienced you doing well on this project. (1) your attention to detail, (2) your extreme patience while digging into the CA program to ensure the trainings relevancy, (3) your knowledge and expertise in guiding me through what information to provide, and (4) the fun, engaging and joyful working sessions you hosted. Seemed like the 1-hour flew by every time. Thank you for taking time to bring structure to an ever-changing environment and new process! It was a pleasure to be a part of this experience.

Frankie does an AMAZING job taking content and creating a storyboard that will help her others on the team develop training lessons. Frankie doesn’t hesitate to jump in to learn more. She’s taken the initiative to create a Webex Team space for the CX Project. She even created avatar for all members of the project team. Frankie also takes initiative and asks questions that improve the overall project.

Your ability to organize and parse the content given by the client has been absolutely amazing, this project would be no where near where it is without your storyboards and ideas! Amazing work all around!
